Heather Dennis is an environmental scientist with specific interests in climate adaptation and building resilient coastal communities. In her current role as a resilience planner for the County of Marin, she focuses largely on preparing for, and adapting to, sea level rise impacts to communities and the environment through community-based planning. She is passionate about collaboration to identify equitable solutions to environmental challenges, especially considering complex ecological, social, and economic interests. Outside of the office, she can be found running, climbing, hiking, and generally frolicking outside, and is active in the Bay Area’s local climbing stewardship and access organization.
