Charlotte Emerson

Charlotte recently graduated from Yale where she majored in English. She is passionate about story-telling and is interested in using fiction to build empathy and explore questions around land, race, class, and climate change. While in college, she developed an interest in sustainable food and agriculture through her work as a farm manager and culinary chef at the Yale Farm. This led her to take time off and work as a line cook, farmer, and assistant director at a food pantry through an AmeriCorps grant. Charlotte hopes to expand food access and create pathways for more sustainable foodways. She loves to draw, cook, and dance.
