Susan Wheeler is the Regional Workforce Development Program Manager for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). Susan sets the company’s direction for workforce development efforts, helping people gain the skills and confidence to obtain rewarding careers that provide economic mobility. Prior to SMUD, Susan held positions in Finance, Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing in a number of industries (technology, telecommunications and healthcare). Susan worked in large multinational companies (AT&T, Chevron and General Electric) as well as start-ups and public sector companies. Susan holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Columbia University.
