Erin Gilbert is the Program Officer for the Human Services portfolio at the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation. These grants support organizations throughout the Bay Area that help people move out of poverty and onto a path towards self-sufficiency. Grantee organizations are working on issues such as: housing, employment, wellness, and Alzheimer’s research. Prior to the Foundation, Erin studied the social determinants of health at Columbia University such as the effects of the urban environment and stress on health. Erin earned a BA in Economics from Boston University and an MPH in Epidemiology from Columbia University.
