David is a first-generation Latine American, community organizer, and operations leader. A University of San Francisco graduate, David developed his passion for social justice through his work organizing student volunteers for MSC South Homeless Shelter and supporting SF AIDS Foundation’s Harm Reduction programs. David has held leadership positions at various mission-driven organizations, most recently registering young voters as a Project Manager at NextGen America.  As a Coro Fellow, David aims to develop his leadership skills further and explore how to address systemic barriers to progress for marginalized communities through policy advocacy and community development. In his free time, he enjoys surfing with his wife and their dog, Lily.
