Elijah’s early interest in policy and advocacy led to his participation in the YMCA’s Mock Legislature program, Youth and Government. As a delegate for SHARE El Salvador, he became familiar with international voting policies and democratic practices through election observation. At UCLA, Elijah continued to focus on public and economic policy while also exploring activism through multidisciplinary artistic practice. Elijah is currently an arts educator at the LA County Museum of Art and a fellow in the Arts for LA protege program. He looks forward to continuing and building on his advocacy for LGBTQ issues and international democracy.
