Kara Vuicich joined the Metropolitan Transportation Commission as a Principal Planner in February 2020, but has been working as a transportation planner in the Bay Area since 2001. During that time, she has worked as a consultant, and as a planner at the City of Berkeley and the Alameda County Transportation Commission. Throughout her career, her work has focused on public transit, transit-oriented development, transportation demand management, parking management, and bicycle and pedestrian planning. She lives in Albany, CA with her husband and three teenage children.
