Growing up in a small village in central Mexico sparked Kenya’s love for community, while her experiences as an immigrant in the U.S. fuel her passion for addressing societal challenges. This passion led her to study Economics and History at Claremont McKenna College, where she served as a leader of Mi Gente, a Latine student group, and volunteered with Al Otro Lado, a nonprofit that aids migrants in the U.S. Through Coro, Kenya seeks to deepen her understanding of building equitable systems and thriving communities. In her spare time, she enjoys sketching and spending time outdoors.
