Evelyn Torres is a Public Relations Strategist raised in the Bay Area and a first-generation immigrant from Lima, Peru. With a deep commitment to public service, Evelyn has focused her career on community organizing, political campaigns, marketing and communications, fundraising, and public policy for nonprofits and government entities. Evelyn is also actively involved in local groups. She is currently serving as a Commissioner for the City of Oakland’s Parks and Recreation and the Housing, Residential Rent and Relocation Board. She holds a B.A. in Latino/a Studies from San Francisco State University, emphasizing public policy and politics in issues of the Latinx communities.
