Dunstan Allison-HopeManaging Director

Dunstan Allison Hope is the managing director of advisory services at BSR.

Dunstan works with a diverse range of companies — including those in the information and communications technology (ICT), consumer products, and heavy manufacturing sectors — on corporate responsibility issues such as human rights, reporting, sustainability strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Dunstan has significant experience working in the United States, Japan, and China. He also serves on BSR’s global Advisory Services Management team, which oversees BSR’s consulting and membership strategy and operations.

From 2006 onward, Dunstan facilitated the multi-stakeholder process to develop global principles on freedom of expression and privacy, which included a diverse mix of companies, civil society organizations, academics, and investors. This led to the launch of the Global Network Initiative in October 2008. Dunstan also helped create the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition Implementation Group, a collaborative initiative of more than 50 ICT companies working to improve conditions in their supply chains. In addition, Dunstan was directly involved in the development of the G3 Global Reporting Initiative Guidelines and worked closely with GE on the creation of their first three sustainability reports.
