Angela Hughes has over 12 years of experience as a communications, public relations, and marketing professional in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Currently, she is a Marketing and Communications Officer at the San Francisco Foundation where she communicates key messages and complex ideas through the creative use of imagery, graphics, and video. Previously, she worked as a public relations consultant for KP Public Affairs, and marketing and communications coordinator for the San Francisco Unified School District. As a former broadcast journalist, she believes in the power of visual storytelling, centering the historically marginalized, and amplifying the voices of BIPOC communities. Angela received her M.A. in Media Studies from The New School and a B.S. in Advertising from San Jose State University.
