May 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM), which celebrates the culture, history, traditions, achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. To commemorate the month, Coro is highlighting one of our Asian Pacific American program participants.
As a Coro Fellow (NY ’00), Dora Yung gained fundamental leadership development skills at the outset of her career. Given the amazing Coro experience nearly 20 years ago and the respect she has for the organization, she decided to apply for the Women in Leadership program in the midst of her career. Currently Dora is Project Manager Lead at Kaiser Permanente. She is a seeker of truth and impactful means of contributing to the universe. Her goal in life is to maintain awareness of and authentically express her inner self in all that she does. Dora’s career in health and wellness has spanned 15+ years and various roles within diverse organizations throughout the Bay Area. “I love the opportunity to step out of my intense work routine and develop concrete ways to grow – professionally and personally – with the support of Coro staff, tools, and a great group of diverse yet like-minded women,” says Dora about her current experience in the Women in Leadership program.
