The Fellows have been active this past month, from interviews to shadows, and group projects!
After wrapping up their group placements, the Fellows joined their Southern California counterparts for an immersive investigation into the form and function of Californian state government in Sacramento. Each Fellow interviewed 10-12 professionals including: agency heads, lobbyists, reporters, and government officials. The Fellows also shadowed legislators in meetings and committee hearings.
Additionally, this year’s Fellows were the last Coro Fellows to meet with Governor Jerry Brown! Thank you to Coro Alums Senator Holly Mitchell,Assembly member Al Muratsuchi, Secretary of State Alex Padilla, P. Anthony Thomas, and Evan Westrup for taking the time to speak to the Fellows.
Additionally, thank you to all of 75+ Coro Community members who joined us for this year’s Annual Sacramento Reception! We appreciate you representing Coro’s diverse and influential network to the Fellows!
