Environmental Management Supervisor for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)
Mr. Bodipo-Memba is the Environmental Project Manager for the nation’s 6th largest public utility, with over 13 years of technical experience managing the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process for development projects throughout California. Prior to SMUD, Jose served as a Senior Project Manager and Office Lead for PBS&J in Sacramento, leading the CEQA compliance for the Sacramento Railyards Specific Plan and the California State Lottery Headquarters. Mr. Bodipo-Memba is active in the Sacramento community, currently serving as the board president for Next Move Sacramento, the American River Parkway Foundation Board of Directors, and the Urban Land Institute Programs Committee. Jose is past chair of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group, the Drexel University Graduate Student Association Civic Involvement Committee, the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Alumni Association and a member of Sacramento Metro Edge. Mr. Bodipo-Memba was a 2010 recipient of the Sacramento Business Journal 40 under 40 award. Mr. Bodipo-Memba holds a B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Drexel University, and is a graduate of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program, a Coro Partnership Program.
