Monica Almendral leads Young Community Developers’ Housing Pillar (Development, Services and Policy) in creating culturally responsive holistic pathways to stable housing for vulnerable populations with a focus on Black households in San Francisco. With a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Spelman College, 15+ years in community serving nonprofits, 6+ years of experience in community development, and a 3rd generation San Franciscan she brings a unique perspective and understanding to San Francisco’s complexities.
