Samantha Hammer is currently a Principal Behavioral Designer with ideas42, where she leads projects focused on applying behavioral science to improve fairness and reduce harm caused by the criminal legal system. Prior, Samantha specialized in using qualitative research and human-centered design to inform policy, program, and service design for governments and mission-driven organizations around the world. She has worked across the domains of criminal legal system reform, civic participation, displacement and migration, and public health. Samantha lives in Oakland and enjoys spending time outside all around the Bay Area and practicing hand-balancing and tumbling in her free time.
