Hannah Hanssens-Reed grew up in Philadelphia and spent the early years of her career teaching in Spain, South America, and Australia before returning to the States for her Master of Education. Over her career, she has expanded access to high-quality education, launched community-based arts programs, and developed initiatives to support the healthy development of children and families. In 2021, she joined Family Connections Centers, supporting communications, development, and community partnerships; she also serves as the Treasurer of the Portola Neighborhood Association. In her free time, she loves long backpacking trips, collecting  houseplants, diving into ceramics and painting projects, and enjoying an SF sunset with a loaf of fresh sourdough.
