As a Program Manager at the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, Elisabet Medina, supports families and youth experiencing homelessness by providing safe spaces for them to stay while on the journey toward housing. Before joining civil service, Elisabet worked directly with victims of domestic violence, survivors of human trafficking, and the multi-disciplinary response to child abuse. She obtained both a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work, focusing on community organizing. The proud daughter of Latino immigrants, Elisabet is an active member of the Latino Community Foundation and is passionate about giving back and empowering other women.
