Sonya Rumpf has been working in the financial inclusion space for the past 6 years, both in the private sector, managing corporate strategy projects for the biggest fintech company in San Francisco, as well as the nonprofit sector, leading Oakland‘s largest grassroots, community based microfinance institution. Having grown up in a bicultural family, Sonya is deeply committed to the value of cross cultural connection, which has guided her personal and professional trajectory. She attended public high school in Germany, college outside of Los Angeles, and graduate school in Medellin, Colombia. Sonya loves bicycling, yoga, and getting down to dancehall and salsa music. She lives between Oakland and Western Massachusetts with her husband and baby daughter.
