Lori Pepper was appointed the Deputy Secretary for Innovative Mobility Solutions by Governor Newsom in August 2019. In this role, she focuses on using her background in technology policy to ease the mobility of people, goods, and services throughout California. Lori believes that the ability to move freely is one of the great equalizers in society and is passionate about using that tool to help lift up others. Lori previously worked in Washington, DC for Honda North America, Inc.  and served on Capitol Hill for 10 years in various capacities, including as a Policy Advisor and Deputy Floor Director for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Lori started her career in her home state of Maryland as a Legislative Assistant for a state delegate.
