Xochitl OrtizCity of Oakland

Xochitl Ortiz works as a Housing Development Coordinator for the City of Oakland. Her work in the Housing & Community Development Department focuses on implementing affordable housing initiatives such as the State of California Homekey Program and the City’s Rapid Response Homeless Housing Program (R2H2), which fund and develop housing for people experiencing homelessness. Xochitl has a background in resident services and holds a BA from UC Berkeley and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA. Xochitl enjoys fostering dogs, traveling with friends, going to concerts, and making time for creative pursuits.  She is a resident of Oakland and has called the East Bay home for many years.
