N. Monica Almendral leads Young Community Developers’ Housing Pillar—encompassing development, services, and policy—focused on creating culturally responsive, holistic pathways to stable housing for vulnerable populations in San Francisco. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Spelman College and brings more than 15 years of experience in community-serving nonprofits and over eight years in community development. As a third-generation San Franciscan, Monica brings a deep understanding of the city’s complexities and strengths.
